Primaria / Secundaria Structured Program
How it works:
All students take a placement test to assess their academic level in English.
Based on the results of their placement test, students receive an individual work plan.
The work plan informs the students and the teacher what work they need to complete via task card assignments, when they are ready to receive the next lesson, and when they need more practice. Students use the work plan to complete task cards at their own pace. Each student’s work plan enables self-paced learning and individual student progress.
Task cards are; grouped by category, color-coded, ordered numerically, sequentially aligned with developmental progressions, and are clearly depicted on the student’s work plans. Students receive a new lesson prior to beginning any new category or concept in the task cards.
After all task cards listed on the work plan have been completed, the student has completed that work plan and is ready for a post-test. The post-test objectively measures their learning progress.
After the post-test, they move on to the next work plan with the next set of task cards. They repeat this process to advance through the curriculum.
There are two ways in which students can participate in this program; group classes or individual sessions.
Group sessions are mostly offered after school in the afternoons on weekdays. Group classes can have up to a maximum of 7 total students who are also in Primaria / Secundaria, or between 5 to 15 years old. Individual sessions can be booked based on calendar availability.
